Hendrick's Gin Martinis

Hendrick's Gin Martinis
3 ounces of Hendrick's Gin
Pure and freezing cold

Pour 3 ounces Hendrick's Gin into a shaker half full of ice. Shake until outside appears frosty and pour into chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a slice of cucumber and hear the angels sing.

Estry's Pina Colada Lite
2 ounces coconut rum
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2 ounces fat free half and half
Ice

Combine ingredients in a blender and add ice until drink becomes slushy. Drink through a straw. Add Splenda to taste.

This is a last minute, last resort drink that Estry whipped up because much to Eggs' and Kurt's amazement, she does not like The Gin.

Keokuk Bloody Marys

1 pint vodka
1 pint chilled Clamato juice - Tomato juice is for Grandma and her Bingo playing buddies.
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 jigger (one and a half ounces) of fresh lime juice ( Or, cut a lime in half, squeeze both halves, and drop 'em in the pitcher.)
pinch of celery salt
pinch cayenne pepper
pinch black pepper
several drops of Tabasco

Notes from Addison:
For a spicier mix, Clamato offers a Bloody Caesar mix which is very tasty. For another nice touch, you can ring the rim of the glass with the lime and press the glass into some season salt. Garnish with celery, green olives, and the usual. Or, if you are in the mood for the experimental, drop a piece of spicy pickled okra in your glass.

Unto you I bequeath this recipe and ask that you go forth and spread good word of The Keokuk Bloody Mary. May it bring you friendship, brotherhood, and get you laid once in a while.

Dreamsicle

3 parts orange juice
1 part liquor 43
ice

Fill your shaker half way up with ice.
Pour in the o.j. and liquor 43.
Shake until the outside of the shaker gets frosty.
Pour into a glass, or glasses and enjoy.

This is a very simple, yet very tasty drink, that the TRHH cast has enjoyed on many occasions. Some people call these Creamsicles, either way the drink is based on those orange and cream flavored popsicles. I wonder if "Holyman" sells some configuration of those?

On this show we make history by using Kurt's exciting new EVP technology. I don't want to give away the results, so I will just say the attempt was interesting.

We try to appease the Bass Fishing segment of our audience, by offering a new feature in which Sting sings the Bass Fishing reports.

And another "Requesta Umaka Song" segment. This song is about the movie I Heart Huckabees theoretically explaining what it's about both before and after Eggs saw it.

Classic Gin and Tonic

1 - lime (Actually 1/8th of a lime)
1 ounce of gin. (Eggs's uses Tanqueray - Kurt uses Bombay Sapphire Gin)
tonic water
ice

Wash the lime, cause you're going to drop it into a glass, pour liquid over it, and drink it, so it'd be gross not to wash it first.

Cut the lime in half, and then cut each half into quarters. Squeeze the bajesus out of one of these 1/8th lime units and drop it in the bottom of a tall glass.

Pour an ounce of gin over the top of it. Kurt pours two ounces, because he doesn't have time to mess around.

Fill the glass up with big old-fashioned ice cubes. Because cold is good, and diluted is not. Ice maker wedges are not for gin and tonics.

Fill the glass with tonic water. Twirl the ice a little with the tip of your finger. You don't need to mix it much because gin and tonic water have a natural affinity, like Astaire and Rodgers or Hepburn and Tracey.

Original Margaritas

1 - Lime
2 1/2 ounces of Tequila - Less for whimps like Eggs
1 1/4 ounces of Triple Sec
1/8 cup of sugar
1/8 teaspoon of salt
ice

Squeeze the lime and put the juice, Tequila, and Triple Sec in a blender.
Blend it up real good.
Fill the blender about half way up with ice.
More blending.
Add ice and blend until it looks like a thick slushy pile of goodness.

Kurt and Estry share their awesome Margarita recipe with the world. Kurt and Eggs discuss their early days as impoverished musicians, sleeping on the floor or in rubber rafts, eating generic mac and cheese, and drinking Kool-Aid without any sugar. Sugar is expensive!

"It's All About the Math", Eggs's response to Yeamon for the "Requesta Umaka Song" segment from the forums airs. This is a song written about a math problem.

Pink Gin

1-1/2 to 2 oz of gin. Kurt uses Bombay Sapphire, Eggs uses Tanqueray
2 dashes Angostura bitters.

Fill a shaker half full of ice.
Add gin and bitters.
Shake like hell.
Pour through a strainer into a chilled cocktail glass.

In the very first edition of the now legendary podcast, the Happy Hour cast turns their attention to their favorite liquid. Discussions on the origins of Gin and bitters ensue. Eggs talks about how lame Palonia is, because none of the liquor stores carry bitters, and how weird it is to buy liquor in the middle of the day. The "Did you ever taste the paste?" question is raised.

The first appearance of Faux Jones, although he hasn't yet received this name, he gets by as "the fake James Earl Jones". Kurt speaks briefly in tongues, just a word or two, here and there, and always in the voice of Owen Wilson for some reason.

Estry arrives late, and settles for wine.
